Dermaplaning is an excellent way to exfoliate the skin and regenerate new skin cells using a medical-grade surgical blade. It also increases product penetration and removes vellus hairs. Develop repeat clients once they see how bright and smooth their skin is after the treatment. Dermaplaning is a fantastic way to prep a client’s skin the day before an event as their makeup will glide on as smooth as ice. It can be offered as a stand-alone treatment or as an add on to an existing service.

By your mid-thirties, your skin doesn’t slough off dead skin cells as rapidly as it did in your twenties, and it gets even more sluggish with age. You may notice that your skin does not have that glow, or appears sallow, while the surface may feel rough to the touch. Dermaplaning helps speed the skin’s cell turnover rate, leaving the skin glowing, radiant, soft, and more youthful.

CERTIFICATION:
Upon successful completion, you will receive an Advanced Dermaplaning Certificate of Completion.

AGENDA:
9:00 am – 11 am Dermaplaning Theory: Sanitation, Compliance, Technical Skills
11 am – 12 pm Practice on arms
12 pm – 12:30 pm Lunch Break
12:30 pm – 1:30 pm Live Model Demonstration
1:30 pm – 4:00 pm Hands-on Practical

NOTE:
Students must be prepared to work on each other. Please refrain from using Retin-A, Retinols, chemical peels or any harsh exfoliation for at least one week prior to class.

PREREQUISITES:
Licensed Esthetician, Registered Nurse, or Nurse Practitioner
